Our Story
Where the jewellers kept their cows.
For a long time in Barpali, the Srigandaram name meant one thing: a jewellery shop you could trust. In 2000, Kanhilal Sahu started something different, close to the land the family has always called home. It began with a few cows, a small plot and the simple belief that a well-cared-for cow gives the purest milk.
Today, around 25 Gir, Sindhi and Jersey cows and calves live on our half acre. Four people look after them from before sunrise to after sunset. The herd is milked twice a day, and the milk stays close to home, with families in our own village and town.
We are not a big dairy, and we don’t want to be. We would rather know every cow by her name.

The first cows
Kanhilal Sahu brings home the first cows to a small plot in Barpali.
2000s
Growing with care
The herd grows slowly, one calf at a time. Gir and Sindhi cows join the family.

Neighbours, every morning
Fresh milk becomes part of the morning routine for families nearby.
